No Longer Approved

After previously approved by the PDGA and its affiliates, The following disc is no longer approved.

Check out the Turbo Putt, one of the most controversial discs in disc golf. Not only does this disc have the most unique shape we've ever seen, but it is also one of the only discs to ever have its PDGA Approval rescinded.

The Turbo Putt is made from a soft rubbery plastic that is similar to a DGA Blowfly, but less floppy. As the name suggests, this disc is specifically designed for players who Turbo Putt. Turbo putts are executed by holding the disc like a waiter would hold a tray, with the fingers on the outside of the rim and the thumb under the disc towards the middle. The edge of this unique disc features bumps that allow turbo putters to lock their fingers into the rim. The underside of this disc is also unique in that it features a spiral protrusion that serves as a grip for the thumb. Don't feel left out if you're a spin putter, the Turbo Putt will grab the chains with its teeth just as well on traditional putts too!

This disc is already considered a collectible, as it has "PDGA Aprroved 6-5-07" stamped into the underside. Whether you're looking for a great new putter or a cool piece of disc golf history, I suggest you grab one of these while you can. As of July, Quest had no further plans to produce this disc.
